Depending on how you use Elterro, information may include your name, email address, account details, seller/store information, product listings, order history, support messages, favourites, activity needed for marketplace features, and technical information such as device, browser, IP address and security logs.
2. How we use information
We may use information to create and secure accounts; operate carts, orders and digital delivery; provide seller tools; respond to support requests; prevent fraud or abuse; maintain platform security; understand marketplace performance; comply with legal obligations; and improve Elterro.
3. Payments
Payment transactions may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Payment providers can collect payment and verification information under their own privacy terms. Elterro does not need to store full card details when those details are handled directly by the payment provider.
4. When information may be shared
Information may be shared where needed with service providers that help operate the platform, with a buyer or seller where necessary to complete or support a transaction, with payment providers, or where disclosure is legally required. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
5. Cookies and similar technology
Elterro may use cookies or local storage for sign-in sessions, account preferences, cart functionality, security and basic site operation. Where optional analytics or similar technologies are introduced, any consent controls required by applicable law should be provided.
6. How long information is kept
Information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including operating accounts, keeping transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse and meeting legal or financial-record obligations. Retention periods can vary by information type.

Some information may need to be retained where there is a legal, security or transaction-record reason to do so.
8. Security
Elterro uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect account and marketplace information. Passwords should be stored using secure hashing rather than in readable form. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also use strong, unique passwords and protect access to their email account.

We may update this policy as Elterro changes or as legal and operational requirements develop. The latest version will be published on this page with its update date.
